the collective consciousness

We have all been through a lot recently, starting with Covid and all the physical, mental, emotional and social restrictions placed on us. To be told we cannot meet up with friends and family, even when they are sick and dying, has placed immense pressure on all of us. We are social beings…and that goes against the very grain of who we are. We all get that…and we are only now beginning to see the ramifications of that.

But this is not just about naming the issue, rather what we can all do to turn that ship around… what are each one of us willing to do. We must raise the collective consciousness, but each one of us have to play our part. If we do our part, there will be a collective shift.

We can all be better people for that, even where we feel that we have gone wrong or made an unwise choice, others can learn from our mistakes, so all is not lost. The building blocks of the universe are built on cause and effect. You know the old saying, you reap what you sow… even Gandhi said ‘the end is inherent in the means’.

So, the question remains – What are we willing to do to experience a better world? When we choose wisely, the universe gets to vibrate at a higher octave.

Forgiveness is another topic very close to my heart. For a very important reason – it stops us from experiencing peace and joy which is our inheritance.

Most people feel that when you forgive someone you are letting them off the hook, especially if they have hurt you. In a small part that is true. However, it is more about looking past the hurt to the innocence that lies beyond.

Lets think about this logically, we have all done or said things that we have not been proud of, and when we look back we think ‘what were we thinking?’ None of us are perfect. We have all been there…. In my humble opinion the first step is to forgive yourself, because you really cant give away what you don’t have.

The other reason why forgiveness is important is because it kind of keeps you in a vice with the other person. In essence you are allowing them to control how you feel, think and act. It is putting your power in the other persons hands. Why would you do that?

You need to sit in your power and own it, so that peace and joy can be your true destiny.
